Roller brake tester RT9241
The RT9241 truck roller brake tester is a dual roller bed and can therefore be installed on the left and right side of an inspection pit.
In addition to measure the brake forces per wheel and the difference between the left and right side of an axle, the operator can determine the important quantities rolling resistance, actuation force, ovality (out-of-roundness) and brake fading for each wheel.
Special attention has been given to prevent damage to the tires. The rollers quickly stop when slippage occurs, even during the start-up of the motors.
The RT9241 is standard equipped with raised rear rollers, electronic motor brake and with automatic slip detection. Even with the heaviest loaded axle, it causes no problems to drive out of the rollers. The chassis is hot dip zinc and all moving components are equipped with quality bearings. This reduces the maintenance on the brake tester to a minimum.
The brake efficiencies (decelerations) of the vehicle are calculated automatically after manual vehicle weight input or by means of the (optional) 8-point weighing facility. These efficiencies can be compared with the legal requirements for the service-, parking- and emergency brake systems.
